What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation which also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that the unseen "life force energy" (electromagnetic energy) flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If a person's "life force energy" is low, we're more likely to become ill or feel stressed. If it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The term Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which means "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

What is Healing Touch Therapy?

​

Healing touch (HT) is an energy therapy that uses touch, or close-to-the-body touch, to influence the energy system, thus affecting physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health and healing. The goal of Healing Touch is to restore harmony and balance in the energy system to help the person to self-heal.

​

Life force energy is known as qi in Traditional Chinese Medicine and prana in Ayurveda. For centuries, energy work has been practiced in Asian cultures to help people find harmony and healing. Influenced by these Eastern principles, registered nurse Janet Mentgen developed the modality of Healing Touch. HT is a biofield (energy field) therapy that practitioners and clients have testified promotes calm and relaxation.

What can Reiki or Healing Touch Therapy help me with?

A Reiki or Healing Touch Therapy Session is 45-60 minutes.

A single session of Reiki or Healing Touch is $70. In-person sessions are provided at Pat's address, which is given when scheduling takes place.

​

Depending upon the need and purpose of obtaining IRT treatment, it is generally recommended to begin with a minimum of 3-sessions for optimal benefits.

​

The cost for the 3-session service package is $175 (a savings of $35).

The cost for the 6-session service package is $350 (a savings of $70).
